Foundation grants are generally provided once a year in the spring grant cycle. However, the Foundation recognizes that some needs occur throughout the year. School Grants are small grants offered to principals throughout the year as needs arise. While these needs usually fall outside the scope of the Foundation’s typical Grant specifications, we feel it is important to consider these requests on a case-by-case basis and try to contribute to meeting the need.
In 2015, the Foundation provided a $1,000 grant to Spain Park’s science department to help fund their trip to Nashville over Spring Break 2016, where they will be presenting and participating in the National Science Teachers Association National Conference.
In 2015, the Foundation provided a $300 grant to Riverchase Elementary School to help them purchase sound enhancement devices for several hearing-impaired students.
